CDDA is seeking a Common Core Trainer

Position Summary:
The Trainer is responsible for delivering Ontario Common Core (Surface) training for diamond drilling, focused on entry-level workers (Runner/Helper progressing to Driller). The role ensures training aligns with Ontario standards and national occupational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom and hands-on Common Core training (Curriculum provided)
- Ensure training meets Ministry and MIHR safety, regulatory, and industry standards
- Evaluate participant competency and provide feedback
- Maintain training records and documentation
- Promote a strong safety culture and safe work practices
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in surface diamond drilling
- Experience as a Driller or Senior Helper preferred
- Train-the-Trainer certification (required)
- Must be accredited in the Ontario Surface Diamond Driller Program (#770200) modules they are delivering (Common Core and any Specialty modules), and maintain accreditation as required.
- Knowledge of Ontario Common Core and safety regulations
- Previous training experience is an asset
- Authorized to sign and date trainee Performance Objectives as the Trainer upon demonstrated competency (Trainer’s Signature). Note; this role does not act as the company’s MTCU/MLITSD Signing Authority Designate.
Work Environment:
A combination of classroom and field settings. Some travel may be required.

To prepare workers with the skills, knowledge, and safety awareness needed to work effectively in the diamond drilling industry.
