Summary
The Assistant-Driller works in constant collaboration with the Driller to ensure the smooth running of the drilling operations.

Main tasks and responsibilities
• Inspects the work tools and keeps the workplace clean;
• Handles core tubes and drill rods (place and tear);
• Classify the drill core correctly in the boxes;
• Monitors the water line, pumps, fuel and propane levels that supply the drill;
• Assists with the moving and installation of the drill to the future drilling sites;
• Assists and gives support to the driller for the smooth running of drilling activities;
• Respects and applies the Health and Safety methods and procedures of Orbit Garant Drilling;
• Performs other tasks related to the workstation. Profile and requirements
• Have experience as a driller in the field of Diamond Drilling or Hold a Surface Assistant Diamond Driller Common Core;
• Hold a valid First Aid Certificate (CPR);
• Hold a valid Driver's license;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Have good physical ability and stamina;
• Ability to work in an isolated environment with extreme weather conditions over long periods of time;
• Be comfortable and motivated in a production job.

Schedule
• Variable schedule;
• 12 hours / shift;
• Alternate day / night shift.
